AC Milan sale likely to face yet another postponement

By Isak Möller -

Despite suffering of many delays already, the sale of AC Milan to Sino-Europe Sports could face yet another one, according to reports out of Italy.

Both MilanTV and MilanNews.it reports that the Chinese group, Sino-Europe Sports, have a few issues in completing the deal with Fininvest, which they are trying to clear up. MilanNews.it also adds that out of the €320m that Sino-Europe Sports will pay, €50m are still missing.

The first solution would be to proceed with the sale and pay this fee later. However, the most likely choice is to postpone the sale until April, with the Chinese paying a penalty fee of €100m.

The €100m deposit, which will sanction the decision to delay the sale until April, must be paid by next Friday, March 10th.
