AC Milan want Barca man Arda Turan; face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea

By Oliver Fisher -

Hot news from Italian papers is AC Milan’s interest for Arda Turan.

The Turkey International joined Barcelona for €34million last summer and is not going to leave the Nou Camp on a loan deal.

If the blaugrana are to sell the talented winger, they want to do it on a permanent deal. There are currently no confirmations over Barcelona’s interest in De Sciglio.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Arsenal and Chelsea are one of a few top clubs interested in signing Turan who is valued at round £23m by Barcelona.

However, reports last week stated that Turan is still important to Barcelona’s plans.

“The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club,” agent Ahmet Bulut, told the Guardian.

Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, said recently: “The coaching staff count on Arda Turan and we thank both him and Aleix [Vidal] for the patience they showed to go six months without being able to play.”

Adriano Galliani is in Spain to meet with Barça’s international sporting director Ariedo Braida, with a view to bringing some fringe players back to Italy.

Other options are said to be Thomas Vermaelen, former Fiorentina loanee Cristian Tello and Lazio target Adriano.

AC Milan are also rumoured to have offered €20million to Villareal for Mateo Musacchio, and the player is not involved in their first preseason match, meaning a deal could be close.
