GdS: Adli expected to leave Milan in the summer as lack of chances persists

By Oliver Fisher -

It has not been a positive campaign so far for Yacine Adli as he continues to get very little playing time, and that could impact his fate ahead of the summer.

Adli has made just one league start all season despite impressing both in the preseason friendlies and during the games held in the break for the World Cup, with Stefano Pioli clearly not ready to trust him yet in any of the formations he has played.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recalls how the playmaker was bought for €8.5m by Milan in 2021 from Bordeaux – where he stayed on loan for another year – but he has failed to gain a place in the hierarchies this season.

The paper goes on to claim that the writing appears to be on the wall for the Frenchman and a sale in the upcoming summer window now seems likely.

  1. Maybe after he leaves he will also give us hus version of what happened. I would love to hear it.
It’s not like we have Kaka as no 10 and the standards are extremely high. Even Daniel Maldini got plenty of chances, without ever showing anything. What can possibly go wrong if you actually give the guy an honest chance to prove himself? Diaz sucks in every game and apparantely that’s not an issue.

    1. If it wasn’t for Diaz we wouldn’t be this far in the champions league , his more productive and effective then Leao and Giroud combine , no wonder Madrid wants him back and Liverpool and Newcastle are genuinely interested in him , fans likes of you only likes to shitt talk on players without understanding the game .

  2. We need to play 433
We keep losing our matches in midfield. The double pivot does not work and we have no decent number 10, so use a formation that suits the players we have!!

Pobega and Adli would both be able to contribute in a 433 formation.

First choice players -Krunic (DM), Bennacer, Tonali
Backup – Bakayoko (DM), Pobega, Adli

Then we have, Leao, Giroud, Diaz and CDK for our attack (Messias, Rebic, Ibra, Origi are finished)

  3. Remember how everybody lost their s*** when Pioli didn’t play Hauge? Similar to how he’s not giving a lot of playing time to Adli.

Anyone wants to tell me how is Hauge doing in Bunndesliga right now? Seing as he’s the next Kaka, I bet he’s setting the league on fire!. Oh wait …

      1. Lol dude no way dude lol…
Eintracht wont the cup, not him. Hauge contributed so much they shipped him to Belgian league. And he’s getting less minutes in KAA Gent now than he did under Pioli.

Do you trolls have absolutely zero self respect with those “argument” yuo come up with?

      2. What’s your point? Ballo-Toure has a scudetto winner’s medal. Is he the next Maldini? For the record Hauge is now at KAA Gent, has 16 appearances, 0 goals, 0 assists.

  4. So Milan wasted 10m to sign Adli and another 35m to sign CDK and none of them have what it takes to get into the starting 11.

A waste of 45m when we could have got Dybala for free and use the money to sign Amrabat to replace Kessie.

With Diaz and Dybala as AM we would had a better season. Also signing an injury prone Origi who hasn’t scored double digit goals in God knows how long instead of signing Belotti for free.

Maldini, Massara and Pioli should all be replaced. At this point I would still bring in Ragnick as sporting director and Sarri as coach.

  5. It’s such an easy thing to just try a 3 man mid… can run Tonali and Bennacer and the 3rd mid can be Adli, Pobega, or even Vranckx… just see how they do, they’ll have 2 other supporting players so less will be on them to have a crucial role like we have now in a 2 man mid. For our current team a 2 man mid just is not the right way…
