In an interview with Sky Italia, Gustavo Gomez’ agent confirmed that negotiations with Fenerbahce have broken down, as the Turkish side suddenly changed the contract presented to Gustavo Gomez.
Augusto Paraja confirmed to Sky Italia that the Paraguayan defender will remain at AC Milan, at least for now.
“In the last hours, when we were negotiating between AC Milan and Fenerbahce, they [Fenerbahce] suddenly changed the salary offered to Gustavo.
“The figure that they presented to us in the first place, after tax, was suddenly going to be paid before tax. Once they changed the economic conditions, our will also changed. Today Gustavo Gomez is and remains a player of Milan.”
For now, it seems Gustavo Gomez will remain at Milan, as there are no other clubs in advanced negotiations with the Rossoneri for the defender.
In other news, Jose Sosa is expected to complete a move to Trabzonspor and join his former Milan teammate Juraj Kucka.
