Agent of Allegri responds directly to Milan speculation and rumours of agreement with Man Utd

The agent of Massimiliano Allegri has responded directly to speculation linking his client with a return to AC Milan this summer.

As qualifying for the Champions League is getting more difficult by the week, the rumours of which manager will replace Stefano Pioli at Milan have started.

According to reports from SportMediaset over the weekend, Milan are working on bringing Allegri back to the San Siro, but the club’s project doesn’t seem to convince the former Juventus boss. Instead, he wants a team capable of competing at the highest level.

Their report added that Manchester United or PSG could be potential options as Allegri is likely to move abroad, which stacks up with il Corriere dello Sport’s report last week claiming that the ex-Juve boss already has a deal with an ‘important English club’.

Giovanni Branchini – the representative of Allegri – spoke to La Politica nel Pallone, and his words were transcribed by MilanNews.it.

“Allegri is recharging his batteries and preparing for new adventures,” he said.

“Where will we see him? It is difficult to evaluate, sure there is a predilection for a solution abroad but at the moment there are no negotiations or agreements.

“Milan hypothesis? At the moment it is just one of the many press speculations but there is nothing. I don’t think they will change manager.”
