Alejandro Gomez: “I can’t deny I’m waiting for a bigger club”

By Oliver Fisher -

Atalanta star Alejandro Gomez has emerged as one of the summer targets of AC Milan.

The 28-year-old winger has already worked under Vincenzo Montella during his time at Catania and a host of Italian papers believe the duo could reunite this summer at AC Milan.

Talking about his future to Sky Italia, Gomez said: “Each summer I am supposed to leave, but I am always here. I can’t deny I am waiting for a big club, I want to prove my qualities in a bigger team.”

“Rumours about Torino? I’ve never worked with Mihajlovic, but I’ve worked with Montella. We know each other very well, he knows how to manage the team and he’s going to have an amazing coaching career. He also wanted to sign me when he was at Fiorentina.”

Gomez, 28, scored seven goals and registered nine assists in 36 games with Atalanta last season and his price-tag is believed to be around € 7-10 million.

The message has been sent. Will AC Milan reply?
