ANSA: City council sceptical about new stadium; uphill for Milan and Inter

By Isak Möller -

Earlier today, as reported by ANSA, the first meeting with the city council committee took place to discuss the new stadium matter, as well as the projects that AC Milan and Inter presented to the world on Thursday morning.

The road seems to be uphill for both teams, as their representatives found themselves in front of a committee where most of the people appeared sceptical or even opposed to knocking down the Guiseppe Meazza.

In any case, as the report continues, they wanted more ‘transparency’ on what will happen in the area surrounding the new stadium, in terms of the redevelopment which will be important for the city.

The committee is divided by a part that asks for clarification but also would be in favour of a new stadium, and a part that opposes itself to knocking down the Guiseppe Meazza. Instead, per the report, they want to renovate the stadium.
