AC Milan have had a boom in sales of their new home shirt when compared to the same period after the release of last year’s.

That is according to Calcio e Finanza, who cite ANSA in reporting that the new jersey for the 2020-21 showed a 1700% increase in sales in the first two days of launch compared to the same period last season, as per sources close to the club.

The shirt wasofficially unveiled on Tuesday and inspired by the history and architecture of the city of Milan with a reference to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in the centre of the city.

As ANSA report, this is a a positive trend which indicates just how much the Rossoneri supporters like the shirt, and it hasn’t even been worn by the team yet as the debut will come on Saturday against Cagliari.

The same amount of shirts sold in the first two days this year was only hit after three weeks in summer 2019.
