AS: Correa hands in transfer request amid AC Milan links

By Isak Möller -

According to reports from the Spanish outlet AS, Angel Correa is ready to leave Atletico Madrid for AC Milan, as he wants more playing time this season.

The Argentine striker, who has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri in recent weeks, is afraid of getting pushed to the side at Atleti despite his good performances during the tour in the US.

Therefore, as stated in the report, he has told the club that he wants to leave this summer, with Milan looking like a concrete option for the 24-year-old.

Milan are working to offload a few players themselves, especially Andre Silva, whose move to Monaco fell through at the last minute. Should the Portuguese leave, then the Rossoneri will be ready to go all-out for Correa.

In the meantime, negotiations with Atletico Madrid continue as they are yet to reach an agreement on the bonuses. However, given Correa’s will, a deal should be in place very soon.
