Biglia: “The derby? It’s an extra push, Giampaolo told us…”

Ahead of the Milan derby, which will take place on Saturday, SportMediaset’s Claudio Raimondi spoke to Lucas Biglia (via MilanNews.it). The Argentine midfielder spoke about the big clash, what it will take to get the win and Piatek’s goal against Hellas Verona.

After recovering from his physical problems, which kept him out of the first two games of the season, the midfielder could get the chance from start against Inter after playing 90 minutes against Hellas Verona. According to Gazzetta.it, however, Bennacer is tipped to start.

Biglia was asked about the importance of the derby, as the Rossoneri have failed to win against Inter in the league for three years, stating that this must be considered as an extra push to work harder for the desired win.

“It must be an extra push because it gives you confidence in what you do, as well as a calmer environment. We know that we didn’t in a great performance in Verona, but we won.

“We must respect all opponents. Before the match in Verona, Giampaolo told us ‘guys, today there are three points just like those next Saturday’. The derby is extra stimulating, winning it would give us more certainty in what we do,” he stated.

The midfielder also spoke about Krzysztof Piatek, who managed to end his goal-drought last time out as he converted the winning penalty against Hellas Verona. Biglia agreed that this is very good for the team.

“Piatek has unlocked? This better for us. I hope he can continue to score and even do better than last year,” Biglia concluded.
