Bonaventura: “We stepped up in the second half”

Giacomo Bonaventura praised the response as AC Milan recorded a 2-1 Round of 16 Coppa Italia victory against a tough Torino side.

After going behind early due to a Belotti strike that beat Donnarumma, Milan rallied after the hour mark with goals from Kucka and Bonaventura in the 60′ and 63′ respectively.

Jack was the star of the show registering both a goal and an assist in the match. This is what he had to say.

“We were slow in the first half and didn’t move the ball quick enough. we stepped up in the second and our quality showed.

“I like being in the midfield, and I can get a few more shots when I’m up front but when the team is this organized I have no preference.”

When asked about their next Coppa Italia match up against familiar opponent Juventus, Jack responded with this.

“Juventus are a very strong side and a tough obstacle to overcome, but we will give it our best.”

Milan have won all four of their games against Turin sides this season with yet three more to go, two of which take place this month.
