Borini: “We must continue playing like this, I make it difficult for Gattuso…”

By Fred Ilondo -

Fabio Borini, who has once again put his name on the score sheet tonight, intends to keep his good form going and make it hard for the coach to leave him out.

Milan secured their place in the round 16 of Europa League after beating Ludogorets 1-0 (4-0 on aggregate) and the Italian winger scored the only goal of the game which was his third goal in the last three games.

“We knew Ludogorets would start very strong, it was important not to concede and we also scored a goal that gave us more confidence,” Borini told Sky Sport Italia.

“I do everything to make it difficult for the coach to leave me out, then we’ll see what happens.”

“On the pitch, we proved that we are on the same level as the sides we’re fighting it out with for a place in the Champions League. We must continue playing like this. Milan are accustomed to European fixtures and we can go in the right direction.”

Milan is now 11 games unbeaten in all competitions and will take on AS Roma next Sunday, a game that could be crucial for a potential Champions League spot.
