CM: Dortmund and Schalke interested in AC Milan full-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan full-back Ricardo Rodriguez is attracting interest from two Bundesliga sides, according to a report.

Rodriguez has been a mainstay of Gennaro Gattuso’s starting XI this season, holding down the left-back spot despite the summer arrivals of Ivan Strinic and Diego Laxalt.

According to Calciomercato.com his exploits have not gone unnoticed, as Ruhr Valley rivals Borussia Dortmund and Schalke are interested in a summer move.

BVB were interested in signing the former Wolfsburg star last summer, CM claim, and the Germans have reignited their interest in the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Schalke have also shown interest in the Swiss international, who arrived from Wolfsburg for a €15m fee back in June 2017.

However, the report goes on to state that Milan are planning on sitting down with the player and his agent to discuss extending his current deal, which expires in 2021.
