CM Exclusive: Porto set to meet with AC Milan for Luiz Adriano next week

By Isak Möller -

Carlos Bacca was expected to leave AC Milan this summer, in order for the Rossoneri to free up enough cash to at least sign 2-3 players for Vincenzo Montella.

Trouble is, Bacca has declined the offer from West Ham and AC Milan are now moneyless, unable to spend one single penny for new recruits.

However, calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that Porto chiefs will fly to Milan next week in order to negotiate the transfer of Luiz Adriano.

The Brazilian joined the club last summer in a €8 million deal, but failed to live to expectations with the Rossoneri last term amid a collapse transfer to Jiangsu Suning last January.

Porto will make a loan offer with an option to buy. AC Milan want to sell the player on a permanent deal or loan him with an obligation to buy, which would force the Portuguese side to sign the former Shakhtar Donetsk striker in 12 months time.

Luiz Adriano has an impact of €11.2 million on the club’s balance sheet, which means AC Milan aim to sell him for €12 million now or with a buy-out clause of €10 million next year.
