CM: Rodriguez and Biglia to be dropped as Montella eyes tactical change

By Nick Sprague -

It’s becoming obvious to fans and management that many of the new signings have been failing to adapt to their new life in Milan.

Andre Silva and Kalinic are having problems finding the back of the net, and Bonucci has made several unwanted defensive errors since his surprise signing from Juventus over the summer.

Ricardo Rodriguez and Hakan Calhanoglu are also on the chopping block according to Calciomercato, with a string of poor performances since the start of the season. Rodriguez had a decent start to the season but with Bonucci joining and the shift in formation from four at the back to three Rodriguez has had a difficult time adjusting.

Giacomo Bonaventura is expected to make a return in the following weekend and replace Calhanoglu who failed to impress against Sassuolo.

Fabio Borini has been the hidden gem so far with multiple standout performances since joining. Riccardo Montolivo is also expected to replace Lucas Biglia and join Franck Kessie in the middle of the field.

With these changes to the squad hopefully Milan can find a winning form that will see them rise to the top of the table again.
