CM: Suso requesting substantial pay rise to renew with Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan winger Suso has laid out his request if he is to renew his contract with the Rossoneri, according to the latest reports.

The Spaniard was heavily linked with a move away from Milan during the summer by a number of outlets as doubts arose over his potential to adapt to the 4-3-1-2 formation that head coach Marco Giampaolo tends to prefer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Fiorentina were interested in a move for Suso, while Roma and Lyon were also linked by a number of sources throughout August.

Despite this, he ended up staying with Milan and has contributed an assist already inside the first two league games, and most of the recent speculation has been surrounding his renewal with the club.

Calciomercato.com recently claimed that Milan are looking to remove Suso’s €38m release clause, but that he would require a pay rise in order to do so

As per an update Calciomercato.com, Suso’s entourage have let it be know that a pay rise from €3.5m-a-year to €5m-a-year is the demand.

It is likely that the club will sit down with his agent Alessandro Lucci ‘in the coming weeks’ to address the issue.
