CorSera: Milan breathe sigh of relief as Donnarumma and Romagnoli test negative

By Isak Möller -

Although several Serie A clubs have announced positive Covid-19 tests, Milan are yet to record a positive swab since the league ended. However, the Rossoneri were worried in the last few days, as a report highlighted.

As reported by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), Gigio Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli both spent their vacations on Sardinia. While there, in addition to relaxing, they met several friends including Napoli striker Andrea Petagna.

The latter, who is asymptomatic, then tested positive for Covid-19 and was sent into isolation ahead of the upcoming season. Therefore, Milan were worried about their star duo as the pre-season will start at Milanello already on Monday.

Fortunately, per the newspaper, both of them tested negative on the first swab and the Rossoneri were able to breathe a sigh of relief. As mentioned, they will start the preparations along with their teammates on Monday. Hopefully, there won’t be any positive swabs.
