CorSport: AC Milan to pursue Belotti in June

By Claudio Perfetto -

Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport is reporting that Milan are planning to pursue Torino’s Andrea Belotti during the summer transfer window.

The Rossoneri sought after Belotti during the past window, but Torino would never lower their demands for the striker as he has a 100 million euro release clause in his contract which is only valid for foreign clubs. Milan deemed the amount too expensive and settled for Nikola Kalinic instead.

The report states that the Milan directors would like for Belotti to lead the attack in the 2018-19 season. Il gallo is also of interest to Spanish club Atletico Madrid, so Milan may have a bidding war at their hands if they do indeed try and sign him. Torino’s valuation of their prized possession may decrease in the summer as he is not enjoying a great championship.
