CorSport: Milan’s plan for Daniel Maldini after starlet commits long-term future

AC Milan are ready to loan out youngster Daniel Maldini in order for him to get more playing time, according to a report.

It was announced on Wednesday via the Rossoneri’s official Youth Sector Twitter account that Daniel had signed a new deal with the club running until 2024.

He was pictured signing his new five-year contract alongside father Paolo, CEO Ivan Gazidis and sporting director Ricky Massara.

The Italy U19 international has impressed during his time with the Primavera this season so far; that coming after he was part of the first team’s preparations over the summer, even playing some games in the International Champions Cup.

Calciomercato.com – who cite il Corriere dello Sport – claim that Maldini Jr. could be loaned out in the January transfer window to get some more consistent playing time under his belt in order to help his development.

La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira claimed on Twitter over the summer that Pescara were one of the teams interested in the 18-year-old, but that Milan said no to a loan at that time.
