Crotone 0-3 AC Milan: Player Ratings

By Nick Sprague -

Starting Eleven

Donnarumma (7): Gigio was hardly tested in the first half but made several great saves later on and kept a clean sheet in the first game of the season.

Conti (6): Won several aerial duels and well-timed tackles helped contribute to the defence and keeping a clean sheet tonight.

Bonucci (6): Made several key tackles to stop Crotone from scoring but made an untimely tackle late in the second half to receive a yellow card.

Musacchio (7): A solid performance from Musacchio today with perfectly timed tackles will surely make Montella’s choice for starting centre back even harder since Romagnoli is due to return within the next few weeks.

Rodriguez (6): Solid overall, but we didn’t see much of him as he had a more defensive role in this game.

Kessie (7.5): Scored the first goal today via a penalty in the opening minutes of the game and that is what helped set it off for the Rossoneri today.

Locatelli (6.5): Aside from a yellow for a reckless tackle the youngster had a decent game today and made some great passes.

Calhanoglu (6.5): Solid display throughout and showed off some great technical ability when attacking.

Suso (8 MOTM): Made a huge impact when playing today, scored a goal and assisted another. Was a constant threat in attack and showed that he earned his spot in the starting eleven.

Cutrone (7.5): Scored a goal and assisted Suso’s goal but received a yellow for a reckless tackle and was subbed off later on.

Borini (7): Borini had several shots on goal keeping the keeper busy but did more work in the midfield recovering the ball and making key passes to other players.

Substitutions

Abate (6): Coming on for Conti, Abate more or less secured Milan at the back. Didn’t make a huge impact overall.

Silva (6.5): Came on early in the second half of the game to relieve Cutrone from his spectacular game and to keep him fresh for the second leg of the Europa league in FYR Macedonia. Silva had a few shots on goal and managed to test Cordaz several times but failed to get his debut goal.

Mauri (N/A): Moments after coming on for Locatelli, Mauri had an excellent shot against Crotone’s keeper that was almost converted into a 4th goal for Milan. Played too little to get a rating.
