AC Milan have once again shown their interest in Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj, as La Viola have finally agreed to sell the Croatian in January, but only for the right price.
Milan have – during the last coupe of weeks – been looking to compile a list of midfield players they can sign in January, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Riechedly Bazoer, Milan Badelj and many more. However, with barely two months left, the Rossoneri will be looking to reduce that list to about three-to-five players that they can focus on.
The Diavolo are looking to do this so that they won’t get any interference in January, as they will evaluate the best options and then meet with the players’ clubs to negotiate. At the time being, the list of targets is long, but three favourites are Cesc Fabregas, Milan Badelj and Riechedly Bazoer.
What’s interesting is that a few months ago, Milan seemed to have given up on Badelj, who ended up staying at Fiorentina this summer. However, the player’s agent and the player himself, have managed to convince Fiorentina, who now are willing to let him go for around €10-12m, but nothing less than that. Montella also admires the player and he has already given the green light to sign him, should the Rossoneri decide that he’s the best option.
Like we reported a few days ago, Milan are also looking at Ajax starlet Riechedly Bazoer, who would cost the Rossoneri in the neighbourhood of €20m. Ajax are also looking to sell the youngster, as he has spent most of his time this season on the bench, due to Ajax’s incredible squad depth.
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has also been considered by Milan in the last couple of weeks. Only trouble is, Fabregas seems keen on staying at Stamford Bridge for at least until the summer. On top of that, the management have also had second thoughts about the Spaniard. The age and wage demand of the midfielder have made Milan look elsewhere for other options, such as names for the future.
