Fernando Gago has been linked with AC Milan during the recent days and according to our sources, the midfielder is unhappy with his current Boca Juniors contract, which will expire this summer.
A source close to the situation has revealed to SempreMilan.com that Fernando Gago is unhappy with his current contract, as the amount of salary he gets is based on how many games he plays. This was decided by Boca’s president when Gago suffered some injuries and required long recovery time.
However, with the Argentinian being healthy again, he could force Boca Juniors to let him go unless they decide to offer the midfielder an improved contract. Unfortunately for AC Milan, this is something that Boca Juniors are planning to do, as they can’t afford to lose another key player after Carlos Tevez’ departure to China. Gago himself will also prioritise a potential offer from Boca over any other offer, meaning he’ll most likely remain in Argentina.
The Boca Juniors squad will return to training tomorrow.
