A source close to the matter has confirmed that Fabio Borini is not set for a move to AC Milan.
Reports in recent weeks have linked the 26-year-old with a move to San Siro, with SportItalia even claiming that a deal was all but complete.
Their report insisted that there would be two possible scenarios should the striker arrive in Milan. The first is to be used as bargaining chips in negotiations with Lazio for Balde Keita, and the second would see the former Roma and Liverpool man used as a back-up in Vincenzo Montella’s attacking department.
When asked about the rumour however, a source close to the situation confirmed to SempreMilan that no deal is in place to bring the player to San Siro.
It is likely that AC Milan are working on bigger names for the attack, with players such as Andrea Belotti, Emil Forsberg, Keita and Nikola Kalinic all linked in the last few days.
