Jose Sosa has only just begun to establish himself as an AC Milan player, but it appears a European giant are ready to offer him a way back in to Turkish football.
That is according to sources close to SempreMilan.com, who claim that Fenerbahce are ready to make a contract offer for Sosa that would be tough to refuse.
“Looks like Fenerbahçe are ready to take Sosa already,” the source said, “they’re offering him big money; €3.5m per year.
“Hilarious stuff if they do end up signing him for that kind of money, on top of which they’ll need to pay Milan a fee.
“He was earning €1.6m with Besiktas, so for nearly €2m more I would say he wouldn’t say no to that…”
Josa Sosa is yet to establish himself as a Rossoneri starter, although the injury to captain Riccardo Montolivo has seen some fans calling for the former Napoli man to start in the regista position.
“They [Fenerbahce] are looking for someone to be a leader and to lift them up to a higher level” the source continued.
“I can’t imagine Milan would let him go for less than €5m since they paid €7.5m.”
The source also believes that Fenerbahce are on a mission to get back at rivals Besiktas by signing one of their former key players.
“Their chairman is very vindictive and he wants to get back at Besiktas for signing two of their best players, for which their fans went bananas.
“So he’ll be putting in quite the effort to sign Sosa as he thinks that would “one up” Besiktas.”
