In an interview with La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Gigio’s father Alfonso Donnarumma confirmed that he had a meeting with AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella.
Gigio’s father also took some time to talk about the ongoing renewal situation, in which his son is the highlight.
“I took a cup of coffee with Vincenzo, he knows how much pressure there is on a player in situations like these,” said Alfonso Donnarumma to Gazzetta.
“All that matters is that he’s happy. We hope he makes the right decision. Right now, we just want the media coverage to end.”
Moreover, Corriere Della Sera reports that Mino Raiola even fears losing Gigio as a client, as Mino was the one who rejected Milan’s offer at first.
Therefore, he is reportedly willing to include a release clause that will satisfy both parties. Milan would like it to be around €100m, while Raiola’s first proposal was €40m.
