Fiorentina release official statement criticising Milan director Mirabelli

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina have released an official statement blasting Milan director of sport Massimo Mirabelli for his comments regarding the club.

La Viola appear to have taken exception to a particular phrase, in which he discussed the possibility of Nikola Kalinic returning to Fiorentina at the end of the season.

Their statement reads: “ACF Fiorentina expresses astonishment and dissent for the tone used by Milan’s Sports Manager Massimiliano Mirabelli during the presentation of footballer Nikola Kalinic.

“The terms used by the Rossoneri manager, speaking of the possibility of returning the Croatian footballer to Fiorentina, used a denigration “there”, appear totally out of place and definitely avoidable.

“We would like to remind the DS Mirabelli that Fiorentina is an important company in which they have played champions that have made the history of football and that this Club represents Florence, one of the most beautiful and known cities in the world and therefore deserves and demands in To refer to it today and in the future, a strict respect.”
