From Portugal: AC Milan make €47m offer for Renato Sanches

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan offered to take Renato Sanches on loan with option to buy from Bayern Munich for a total €47m, according to reports in Portugal.

Daily paper Record claims that the Rossoneri have enquired about a possible two-year loan deal for €7m, including an option to buy in 2019 for an additional €40m.

The midfielder arrived at Bayern from Benfica last summer for a fee of €35million, a figure he is yet to live up to. However, at just 19 years of age, there is plenty of time for the Portugal international to realise his true potential.

His fee could even rise up to €80m with the inclusion of several bonuses, including a €20m bonus should Sanches get short-listed for the Ballon d’Or.

Despite making 20 appearances for the Bavaria club last season, Sanches did not manage a single goal or assist.

With the Rossoneri already having a talented midfield with Franck Kessie, Giacomo Bonaventura and soon Lucas Biglia, it remains to be seen where Renato could fit in the new look Milan side.
