From Spain: Milan to try for Modric in January

By Oliver Fisher -

Milan have been incredibly busy in the summer mercato already as Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli have set about their overhaul of the AC Milan squad.

They are yet to deliver a huge name, however the directors are determined to change that.

Other than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Milan also have their eyes on another world class star: Real Madrid’s Luka Modric. According to AS.com (Via FootballItalia), Milan might strongly try to get Modric next January.

They know that it will be hard to tempt the Croatian star to leave Madrid already this summer but if he doesn’t get a lot of playing time in the coming months, then they might try their luck in January 2018.

Fassone and Mirabelli did state that Milan are still following a few surprise players as they have been working very hard of late. Modric appeared in 39 games for Real Madrid in 2016-17 as he scored one goal and added three assists on the season.

Milan have built a very competitive roster as their goal will be to at least finish in the top 4 next year thus qualifying for the UEFA Champions league.
