Gattuso: “Andre’s time will come”

Milan are fresh off the heels of a scrappy victory against Cagliari which saw Kessie earn a brace and both teams receiving a red card. Skipper Gattuso spoke with Mediaset after the game.

Gattuso: “There were players laughing after the game, but there was little to laugh about because had we of conceded a goal at the end there would be little to be happy about. Against Benevento we were mocked at the end and conceded a late equalizer. We have to do better in this regard.”

The manager then proceeded to speak about his players and how they fit into the team. “Biglia had a good game, Bonaventura looked tired by the end of the game. Suso was not as strong today but I’m happy. We are growing and we play good football when we manage to play our style. We have eleven games in the next forty days and there will be time for everyone. André’s time will come. It’s my responsibility to put him in the mix because he is very good.”

Kessie, who managed a brace out of today and plays in a similar role to Gattuso was praised heavily. “Kessie is better than me. He averages around 7-8 goals per season. The squad is getting along well but we have big margins for improvement. We need to play more as a team.”
