GdS: Kalinic wants AC Milan stay to redeem disappointing season

By Oliver Fisher -

Recent reports have suggested that AC Milan striker Nikola Kalinic is set to leave San Siro this summer.

The Croatia international arrived at the Rossoneri late last summer, and has struggled to settle into his new surrounding, scoring just six goals in 20 Serie A appearances.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday, the 30-year-old may not be set to leave the club after all despite reported interest from China.

Instead, the former Fiorentina man is hoping to stay at Milan under Gennaro Gattuso and prove to his coach and the fans that he can be a useful asset to the team.

Recent comments from AC Milan director Massimo Mirabelli seemed to suggest that the Rossoneri leadership are plotting a summer overhaul of the strikeforce, one which Kalinic would be unlikely to survive.
