Kalinic could recover for derby; Cutrone plan B

Sky Sport Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano reports that Milan’s Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic could recover in time for the derby next weekend.

Nikola Kalinic featured in the first part of AC Milan’s training session this morning, and left around 4 pm, once the rest of the team started the second session. Therefore, there is great optimism regarding his recovery, as he could be available for the derby against Inter.

MilanNews.it reports that should Nikola Kalinic fail to recover in time for the big clash, then Patrick Cutrone is expected to start up front along with Andre Silva, as they are the only forwards available. With that said, Montella is set to continue with the 3-5-2 formation.

Cutrone scored two goals and contributed to one goal while playing for Italy’s U-21 team yesterday against Hungary, leaving Montella with a lot to think about as all of his strikers have been doing very well.
