Kessie: “Next year, I need to do even better”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has admitted he can do better, despite an impressive first season for the Rossoneri.

The Ivory Coast international has amassed 53 appearances in his first season for Milan, scoring five goals.

However, the 21-year-old has claimed that he must do better in order to help the team qualify for the Champions League.

“I have settled very well. We have had some problems but we need to achieve our target of getting into the Europa League,” Kessie told Milan’s matchday program.

“Next year, I need to do even better in order to get into the Champions League.

“I am always ready and available for the Coach. That’s the reason I have played so many matches.”

Kessie also commented on his relationship with coach Gennaro Gattuso.

“I have a good relationship with the boss. He wants to give confidence to the players, he has won everything.

“I need to say thanks to Gattuso and to Montella, they have always played me.”
