Kicker: Milan want Bundesliga sensation; club director and agent respond

By Oliver Fisher -

A new target has emerged for AC Milan in the form of Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica, according to reports in Germany.

We recently revealed via our mercato expert Vito Angele that owners Elliott Management have made funds available to add some experienced reinforcements in January.

However, the American fund are not likely to completely scrap their vision of signing young players with high potential; something which we saw in action with the signings of Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Leo Duarte and Rafael Leao during the summer.

According to German outlet Kicker – as cited by Calciomercato.it – the Rossoneri have set their sights on 23-year-old winger Milot Rashica.

The Kosova international – who can also be deployed as a midfielder and as a second striker – has put up some impressive numbers so far this season.

In eight appearances across the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal, he has already scored six goals and amassed two match-winning assists.

He arrived back in January 2018 from Eredisivie side Vitesse Arnhem for €7million, and the report adds that his valuation has now more than doubled after his start to the current campaign.

The interest has actually sparked a response from Rashica’s agent Altin Lala and Werder’s sporting director Frank Baumann.

“Maybe they are interested, but saying goodbye in the winter is out of the question,” Lala told Kicker (via BuliNews).

Baumann added: “The next step will come at some point. But definitely not this winter.”
