L’Equipe: Lyon prepare counter move as Milan lead Bayern Munich in race for full-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are the team best placed to land Lyon starlet Pierre Kalulu this summer, a report claims, but the Ligue 1 side are preparing a counter move.

Kalulu is yet to sign a professional deal with Lyon, and French outlet L’Equipe (via GFFN) are reporting that they have made an improved offer to 19-year-old right-back with ‘considerably better’ economic terms.

They are aware that Bayern Munich, Sevilla and AC Milan are all keen on landing the France U20 international, with the Rossoneri in the best position to land him as they are willing to offer more game time given their struggles in that position.

Lyon are trying to change things by making a better offer to try and keep him as well as giving him the chance to play as the understudy to current right-back Leo Dubois next season, but sporting director Juninho will have to sell Rafael and Kenny Tete first.
