Today marks the 19th birthday of AC Milan youth player turned senior team starter, Manuel Locatelli.
Born in 1998 on today’s date of January 8th; Manuel began his Milan career in 2009 and had his senior debut last season as a very late sub against Carpi.
From there he earned his first senior team start on the final game of the season. This season as everyone is well aware, he has become a staple in our midfield replacing injured captain Riccardo Montolivo as the regista. Locatelli is responsible for scoring the equalizer in a thrilling match against Sassuolo that saw Milan win 4-3 after being down 3-1.
Locatelli is also the owner of a wonder strike against Juventus to earn Milan their very first win against the Turin side since November of 2012.
With 15 official appearances and two goals to his name, Manuel is expected to achieve great things with this team as he has already done for the Under 19 Italy National team of which he is the captain.
