Mediaset: Spurs defender a ‘concrete option’ in January for Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are considering a move for Spurs defender Serge Aurier to replace Andrea Conti at right-back, a report claims.

Conti appeared to face an uncertain future at the club during the summer window, with rumours of offers from Parma and Werder Bremen.

French outlet soccerlink then claimed that that Milan are ‘advancing rapidly’ in talks for Aurier as his replacement and ‘could reach an agreement soon’.

The report even went as far as to state that that Aurier is keen on a move to Milan, where he would join Ivorian compatriot Franck Kessie.

However, the Premier League side were believed to be holding out for €25m and as a result Aurier did not arrive over the summer, though he apparently still remains a target.

According to a report on Calciomercato.com – who cite SportMediaset – claims that the Rossoneri are still chasing the former Paris Saint-Germain man.

Conti started Saturday’s Derby della Madonnina defeat to Inter and failed to impress, and therefore Aurier has become a ‘concrete option’ for the winter to provide competition for Davide Calabria.
