Mediaset: Swap deal for Spurs target could scupper Arsenal’s move for €25m Milan man

By Oliver Fisher -

Arsenal have made enquiries about the idea of signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie this month, according to a report.

It was reported by Sky Italia that the Gunners are keen on a move for Kessie, who faces an uncertain future with the Rossoneri despite having been a starter for most of the season.

The outlet added though that Arsenal don’t want to pay the asking price set by Milan, but their manager Mikel Arteta remained tight-lipped when asked about interest in the Ivorian earlier in the week.

According to SportMediaset – as cited by MilanNews.it – Arsenal have indeed made enquiries about signing Kessie during the January transfer window and have been quoted a price of €25m, money that could be used to find his replacement.

Despite this, Milan still prefer the idea of a swap deal with rivals Inter involving Matias Vecino, who continues to be strongly linked with a move to Spurs.
