Meeting with Conti’s agent ends after three hours

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to close the deal for Atalanta’s right-back Andrea Conti, who they consider a main target for the defence. Today, there was a meeting between Mirabelli and Conti’s agent at Casa Milan.

The meeting started at 19:00 CET, and it wasn’t until after 22:00 that it ended. Mirabelli and Mario Giuffredi (Conti’s agent) left the meeting together and MilanNews.it claim that the meeting was very positive. In fact, Calciomercato.com claim that Milan managed to find an agreement with Conti’s agent today, meaning only Atalanta’s approval is missing. CM also add that Milan are ready to offer €18m for Conti, while Atalanta want €24m.

Di Marzio also reports that Milan have reached an agreement with Conti and his agent, and they will now move on to Atalanta. Alfredo Pedulla adds that Conti will earn €2m/year + bonuses, should Milan find an agreement with Atalanta.

As we all know, it’s always good to have the player’s approval before negotiating with the club, as the player’s consent could help with lowering the price.
