Milan-Juventus: The Rossoneri’s Greatest Goals

By Alex Viola -

Milan and Juventus is a rivalry that nearly dates back to the start of Italian football. This historicaly huge match consists of the best Italian team in Europe (Milan with Seven Champions Leagues) and the domestic squad with the most success (Juventus have won 31 Scudetti).

#5. To start the count down, it is Sulley Muntari, with the fastest goal in a incounter between these two clubs. It is a great play by Milan, also not to mention, the ball touched just one Juventus player once, before finding it’s way into the back of the net.

#4. Current Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni curled home this beautiful free-kick, from the edge of the area in 1989. A classic indeed! A classic indeed!

#3. In the at the bronze medal is not a 35 meter rocket into the top corner. However, it is a lovely Barcelona tiki-taka style goal. The play was even rounded off by a 19 year old. Locatelli, if you get on the field, I expect this from you!

#2. I honestly considered the featured video for this spot. I know it is not exactly a great goal, but it probably has the most signifigance of any goal ever scored in a matchup between these two giants. It won Milan the 2003 Champions League. Now, we will get into this goal scored by Maxi Lopez. In a Coppa Italia match at Juventus Stadium, Lopez unleashed a rocket to give i rossoneri a 2-1 lead and victory over la vecchia sinora. Let’s hope we can have a hero today, and on May 21 in Rome.

#1. I really don’t think anybody will disagree with me, when I say that this is the best ever goal in a game Milan and Juve. What a strike by Andriy Shevchenko! Let’s sit back, relax and enjoy!
