Mirabelli: “We are improving in all aspects”

By Fred Ilondo -

After Milan’s victory over Crotone at San Siro, Sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli took the opportunity to congratulate the players for the performance.

“If we look at the numbers, Milan has created a lot. The guys did pretty well.”

Mirabelli also addresses the recent rumors of Donnarumma and Leonardo Bonucci exits in January and insists the fans have nothing to worry about.

“The fans can rest assured. We have a new team, we have to become a good team. We are fighting on three fronts despite the difficulties.”

One of Milan’s last games in 2017 was a derby victory over Inter which many, including Mirabelli consider as a turning point for the rossoneri’s season.

“Before the end of 2017 we deservedly won the derby, then despite the tiredness we drew to Fiorentina. We started 2018 well, we are improving in all aspects. We are still far from our best performances but many have done well. Even today they can do better. Gattuso is working well to create a real team.”

When asked about the Winter Mercato, Massimiliano did not reveal any plans of buying new players but insisted that they are not going to sell any player for less than they were bought.

“Andre Silva and Kalinic are two players who have done very little in the league, but if we were to put them on the market we would take an extra euro and not less. All players have been below expectation but we do not have the problem of devaluation of players.”

“Now you have to get used to crazy figures, there are companies like in England, France, and Spain that raise the market level in an exaggerated way, which is why we have to invent something and not go behind these figures.”
