MN: Alessio Romagnoli back in training; close to comeback

By MaaxiAngelo -

Alessio Romagnoli was one of the Rossoneri’s key players last season. However, the young defender has been out injured all summer, recuperating from a lingering knee.

Milannews.it claims that there’s some good news for the Rossoneri as Romagnoli participated for the most part of yesterday’s training session with the rest of the squad.

That means that the young defender is close to a comeback for the Rossoneri and might be fully available in the coming days. Very positive news for Vincenzo Montella as he now will be able to rely on Bonucci, Mussachio and Romagnoli for his defensive set up. This means that Montella could play with a back three.

Although Milan will play on Thursday against KF Skhendija in the Europa League playoffs, Romagnoli is not expected to return until the Rossoneri’s Serie A opener against Crotone. The Rossoneri don’t want to risk anything, as Romagnoli is considered the best centre-back at Milan after Bonucci.
