MN: Milan reject Hellas Verona approach for Cutrone

By SempreMilan -

According to MilanNews.it, Hellas Verona has ramped up efforts to land Milan striker Patrick Cutrone.

This news comes after it was confirmed by AC Milan that the signing of Nikola Kalinić is close, with the player taking his medical on Monday.

This move would provide critical minutes to the young centre-forward as he moves further down the pecking order of attacking options at Milan.

However, the 19 year-old Italian has been the focus of praise by manager Vincenzo Montella, who finds Cutrone an important player to have in the strike force, which now also consists of newcomers André Silva and Kalinić.

The Primavera product scored in Milan’s 3-0 win against Crotone yesterday, in his first start of the 2017-18 season.

The choice to stay or leave will ultimately land on the youngster’s shoulders, as he assess between staying at Milan to get the odd game time in the Serie A and Europa League, or gain more minutes as Hellas Verona’s main man.
