MN: Milan to earn €23m as Suso closes on Sevilla move – exit may fund Szoboszlai swoop

By Oliver Fisher -

After the €27million received from the sale of Krzysztof Piatek to Hertha Berlin, Milan are close to securing a much more significant injection of funds.

As MilanNews notes, last night’s victory against Mallorca means that Sevilla are now almost certain to secure Champions League football for next season. This means that Suso’s move to the Andalusian club will be made permanent due to the obligation to buy that was inserted into his loan deal in the event of UCL qualification.

The report claims that Milan will receive €24million from the Spaniard’s departure, of which €23.6m is pure capital gains as the club paid a minimal fee to sign the winger from Liverpool.

Essentially, the exit of the 26-year-old could cover the purchase of another player such as Dominik Szoboszlai, whose value is around €25m.

If Villarreal wins against Real Sociedad, the next round could already be decisive for Sevilla. The Andalusians will play away against Real Sociedad, while Villarreal will have to travel to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid, with no slip ups allowed for the Valencia-based club.
