Musacchio: ”It’s a source of pride to wear the Milan shirt”

By Fred Ilondo -

This morning, AC Milan completed the signing of Villareal defender Mateo Musacchio on a four-year-deal, showing fans an exciting image of what the ambitions of the new management are.

Fans are not the only ones happy with this transfer, speaking with MilanTV, Musacchio expressed his delight to join the Italian giant:

“Negotiations started last summer so I am very happy that it is now official. Now I’m here and I am very happy.

”I know Zapata and I know all the Argentines as well, but I have not spoken to anyone yet.

”Milan is a club with great history and a lot of trophies. It’s a source of pride to wear the Milan shirt. My aim is to give my best in every training session and in every game. I had a very good impression. The whole club is amazing and Milanello is a very good place to train at.”

With Milan being back in Europe, the player seems more than ready to defend the red and black colour and sees the Europa League as an important competition:

“Europa League is an important competition. It’s nice to play it because it contains great teams as we’ve seen in recent years.”
