New AC Milan ownership sets priorities for the upcoming summer transfer market

By Nikita Fesyukov -

With the club sale closing finally reaching completion, the new AC Milan ownership has officially initiated plans to build a strong competitive team for Vincenzo Montella.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone will meet Vincenzo Montella to offer him a contract extension. After that the new management prioritizes the extension of Gianluigi Donnarumma, as well as Suso and Mattia De Sciglio. The Chinese consider these three the present and future of the Rossoneri.

In recent months Fassone and Mirabelli have already reached agreements in principle with some players. For example Cesc Fabregas or Keita Balde from Lazio, whose contract with the club expires next summer. Lorenzo Pellegrini from Sassuolo is also a player of interest, however, Roma have a preferential right to redeem the midfielder from the Neroverdi.

For the attack the top target is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with whom Mirabelli has already been in contact. According to Gazzetta, Milan’s new sporting director offered the Gabonese player a contract with an annual salary of €7.5 million. If this does not materialize, Karim Benzema is another hot name, as well as Italian talents Berardi and Bernardeschi. While for the defense Musacchio from Villareal remains the main priority.
