After a lot of reports and rumours, AC Milan has officially sacked manager Sinisa Mihajovic, who will be replaced by youth coach Brocchi.
Earlier today, Milan released an official statement regarding Sinisa Mihajlovic:
Sinisa Mihajlovic has been relieved of his role as AC Milan coach. The club would like to thank Mihajlovic for tthe dedication and hard work carried out this season.
Cristian Brocchi will now be in charge of the first team until the end of the season. AC Milan would like to welcome Mr Brocchi and wish him all the best.
Primavera coach Brocchi will now take over, as mentioned in the statement, until the end of the season.
The coaching staff of Mihajlovic was at Milanello today to say goodbye and Bonaventura, Abate and Donnarumma were according to Di Marzio very upset and in tears, especially Donnarumma. Which is understandable as Mihajlovic believed in the 17-year-old from the beginning.
Brocchi will be presented to the media as the new Milan coach tomorrow at 14:00 CEST.
