Report: AC Milan battling four teams for teenage Chievo star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing ChievoVerona’s teenage starlet Emanuel Vignato but face competition, a report claims.

Vignato played 10 times in Serie A last season as Chievo were relegated from the top flight, amassing one goal and one assist.

He has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri before, with reports in June suggesting Milan are battling Inter and Bayern Munich for his signature.

A fresh link has emerged now however, as newspaper il Corriere di Roma claims that Lazio are interested, along with Milan, Sampdoria, Bayern and Barcelona.

The report goes on to add that sides in Italy have an advantage over those abroad as Vignato’s younger brother is only 15, and the family wants them to move together.

Due to international regulations, Samuele Vignato cannot sign with a team outside Italy, meaning Emanuel is likely to stay in Serie A.

Vignato plays primarily as a right winger but has featured centrally behind the striker on a few occasions last year.
