Report: AC Milan set asking price of €10m for Everton target; Napoli may join race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set their asking price for Ricardo Rodriguez with the full-back seemingly free to leave in January, a report claims.

Theo Hernandez has seemingly taken Rodriguez’s starting spot for the foreseeable future as the Frenchman is the Rossoneri’s joint-top scorer, leading to suggestions that the former could seek a new club in the upcoming window.

A recent report from Blick claimed that Rodriguez is unsettled, with Atletico Madrid, Schalke, Dortmund, Everton and Roma all monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, the Swiss international also told AZ that he is unhappy at not playing as much, something which did little to pour cold water on the exit talk.

According to Calciomercato.it, Milan have set their asking price at €10million for the 27-year-old, despite having paid at least €15m to sign him from Wolfsburg back in 2017 (as per Wikipedia).

The report goes on to state though that should Gennaro Gattuso get the Napoli job he may look at reuniting with Rodriguez, as he had a great relationship with the defender during his time at Milan.

Mario Rui is the only left-back currently available to Carlo Ancelotti given Faouzi Ghoulam’s injury, so a cheap reinforcement may be sought in January.
