Report: Milan and Raiola to meet over Donnarumma soon – renewal until at least 2023 expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready for an all-important meeting with Mino Raiola over the future of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), in the coming days the first face-to-face summit between the management of Milan and Raiola is expected during which negotiations for the renewal of Donnarumma will commence.

His current contract expires in 2021, and the salary he earns on that deal is €6m-a-year making him the club’s highest earner. In the coming weeks a final decision will have to be made: either there will be renewal or Donnarumma will be sold, as January would be allowed to sign on a free transfer with another team.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport (as cited by MilanNews) are also claiming the parties will meet soon to discuss the details of the duration of the new deal, which will be at least two years.

As far as the salary is concerned, additional bonuses are likely to be introduced.
