Report: Roma director Monchi wants €30m-rated Suso

By Oliver Fisher -

The new Roma sporting director Monchi has requested AC Milan winger Suso, according to reports.

AS claim that the former Sevilla director wishes to bring the Spaniard to the capital, but they face competition from Serie A rivals Napoli.

The report claims that Milan have slapped a €30million asking price on Suso to warn off potential suitors.

The 23-year-old has a contract at Milan until June 2019 and despite rumours of a renewal agreement, nothing has been confirmed.

Eusebio di Francesco was named as Roma’s new head coach on Tuesday, and Monchi apparently believes Suso to be a perfect winger in his 4-3-3 system.

Suso contributed seven goals and 11 assists in 37 competitive games for his club and has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid as well as Roma and Napoli.

AC Milan are backed by wealthy new owners however, and should be in no position to sell one of their prized assets despite the asking price quoted.
